Matt has been a member of the marching band, concert band, cross country team, track team, and student council officer.††Matt is a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society and has earned the LISD TECH Center's Work Habits Award and Madison's Perfect Attendance Award.
Outside of†school, †Matt is a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Youth Group and a a ten-year member of the Palmyra Future Leaders 4-H club.† Matt also owns a car detailing business and pursues hobbies related to vehicles and welding.† He plans to study welding at Washtenaw Community College.† Congratulations, Matt!
|On Saturday, October 25, Madison's Boys and Girls Cross Country teams made school history by placing third at regionals, qualifying to run as teams in the state finals.††Madison is†the only school in the county to send both boys and girls teams to state this year.
Winning Top 15 medals were Megan Rosales (3rd), David Gilbert (6th), and Chris
Kangas (7th). Also running for the boys were Jason McGinnis (22nd), Michael Burciaga (23rd), Alex Garcia (26th), John Ambrose (47th), and Ben Kangas (48th).
Finishing places for the†girls are as follows:†Callie Halsey (16th), Reese Dillard
(21st), Megan McTaggart (29th), Aitanna DeHoyos (33rd), Sonni Rodriquez (39th), and Dema Martinez (72nd).
