Mr. Bill Wilharms recently participated in a National Endowment for the Humanities Workshop at Crow Canyon Archaeological Center in Cortez, Colorado. He was a part of a team of educators, doctors, and members of the Pueblo and Ute Tribes who spent a week researching the history of the Ancestral Pueblo Peoples and visiting the Cliff Dwellings in southwest Colorado.
Deeply committed to the District, Hartley missed only one Board meeting in his role as Superintendent and could regularly be found at sporting events, musical performances, and fundraisers. Over the past 38 years, he has signed nearly 2,000 diplomas, worked with 33 Board members, and has recommended numerous teachers and staff members for employment with Madison.
My deepest thanks for some great memories, wonderful friendships, and the tremendous opportunity to make a difference in the lives of so many children. We have accomplished a great deal together and have much to be proud of.” - James Hartley, Madison Superintendent
