District Wide Announcements
Welcome to Madison

Welcome to the Madison School District website. Our website is designed to provide an overview, an introduction to our school district and our programs. You are welcome to contact any of our building administrators for additional information.
Madison is committed to providing unsurpassed educational opportunities for our students through highly qualified and compassionate teachers, rigorous standards, and high expectations.
Significant recent achievements include US News & World Reports recognizing Madison High School with its Silver Award as one of Michigan's top high schools (the only Lenawee County high school to receive such recognition), Madison Middle School’s recognition as a National Title I Distinguished School (one of only two such schools in Michigan), and Madison Elementary and Madison Middle schools being designated as Reward Schools by the Michigan Department of Education.
AdvanceED, the most recognized and prestigious school accreditation organization in the world, at our request, sent six outside evaluators to Madison in January to thoroughly review our entire educational program. At the conclusion of their work AdvancED notified us that Madison is being recommended for District accreditation - one of only two school districts in Lenawee County to receive such recognition.
Good things are happening at Madison!
In December the Lenawee County Superintendents Association commissioned a professional telephone survey to learn more about the perceptions our community has of its schools. The executive summary of the countywide survey can be accessed by clicking here, and the Madison survey results can be accessed by clicking here.

MADISON HIGH SCHOOL RANKS AMONG BEST HIGH SCHOOLS IN THE NATION

The only school in Lenawee County to make the list, Madison High ranked 74th in Michigan and 2,263rd out of 49 states and the District of Columbia. Madison also received a silver medal designation. The rankings were determined by information gathered by U.S. News & World Report and American Institutes for Research and are based on student performance on college-readiness, proficiency test scores and the performance of the district’s least-advantaged students in comparison to the state average. To read more about the award, click the links below to access an article from the Daily Telegram.
